Subteams

Our team is made up of 3 main subteams that work together on each of our projects:

Payload

Payload designs, builds, and tests the experiment or device inside the rocket. The team ensures everything fits, functions, and collects the data we need during flight. This includes planning the payload’s purpose, integrating sensors and electronics, and verifying performance in ground and flight tests.

Recovery

The Recovery subteam designs and manufactures the systems that safely bring the rocket back to Earth after launch. The team designs and implements parachute systems, separation charges, and our Barometric Avionics Enclosures (BAEs). A reliable recovery ensures we land safely and learn from each launch.

Structures

Structures builds the main body of the rocket, including the airframe, fins, bulkheads, and internal supports. The team focuses on selecting the right materials, fabricating parts, and ensuring the rocket can handle high forces during launch and flight. Structures makes sure everything stays together from the launch pad to landing.
